Using MidiOx with Roland Fantom X7

Hi everyone, newbie here! I own a Roland Fantom X7 and I've just downloaded a copy of MidiOx but not yet installed it. First I need to get a Midi-capable sound card. However, before I go this far, maybe someone can tell me if I can do this: I have a song in the sequencer where I want to program (in mid-song) a command to stop the sequencer play-back. I then want it to sit and wait at a specified point (i.e. song location) until I stamp on the control pedal again to restart the sequencer. This is all so that I can perform this song which is interrupted by a (slower) acoustic middle bit. Incidentally, I think I should be able to do this using the microscope edit function on the keyboard, but at this stage I don't even know if what I want is done thru a Control message or System Ecxlusive message and then I don't even know what data I should put in! I've aske Roland Support direct and all they did was refer me to http://www.patchmanmusic.com/SysexUtilities.html where I found a link to this site. Do you think this can be done? Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Koo
