Installation went fine but when starting the program, the system message pops up: DevCaps Out: Unknown Device: A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system What does this mean and how can it be corrected? Thanks, Doug

It almost always means that at one time you had a MIDI Driver installed for a device (usually USB), and the device got removed, but not the driver. This happens frequently with the Yamaha MIDI drivers. When this occurs with a problematically written driver, Windows freaks out, and claims the driver count is zero (0). However, if you keep clicking the message box, MIDI-OX will eventually open. There are some other threads here about how to clean up the driver remnants. Here's one: http://www.midiox.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=query;action=display;nu m=1152200321;start=1#1
