I am in the process of interfacing my Korg Karma with my PC using MIDI-OX so I can download and restore my initial factory settings. But then I read a forum that said PCG files cannot be transferred this way & that it has to be done via floppy disk. Is this true?

Sorry, but I don't know what .PCG files are? Is there an association for them to some application in Windows.

Korg PCG. Files (as I understand it) contain the data for the programs, combinations and GM that is part of the original factory settings for the keyboard. Purchased new they come with the keyboard via floppy disk.

It sounds like a proprietary format. MIDI-OX knows nothing about them.
