I'm not sure I would change it. By all means open it up and make sure the battery hasn't leaked on to the printed circuit board.   I would dump what's there anyway as may contain the sounds of some genius.   Typing "M1R Factory Patches" into Google produces lots of page and the first looks like a good place to start. http://patcharena.com/tag/korg-m1-original-factory-sounds/   One final thing, it's not a good idea to give your email address on an open forum like this as the bots will find it and the spam will start rolling in.
