Midi port sniffer?

Hi I'm a relative newcomer to Midi and have been experimenting with my setup which comprises PC, MidiSport 2x2 Anniv, FCB1010 foot controller & AxeFX. With the PC application running (Ripwerx),I've been using Midi OX to show me what Midi data is being returned (i.e. monitoring the MidiSport Midi In A), but I'm also wanting to observe what Midi information the PC application is sending out. I'm not certain that Midi OX is able to monitor the outgoing data (Midi Out A)-or if it can, I can't work out how do do it... I'm basically wanting to 'sniff' the midi traffic in both directions as I use the PC app. Can I do this using MidiOX alone, or do I need something else? Many thanks Dave

You need MidiYoke - free from here It is a driver that acts like a Midi patch cord. On your app make MidiYoke Port 1 your output and in MidiOx connect MidiYoke port 1 to Whatever was the apps original output port - MidiSport out A ? The app will output data to MidiYoke and appear in MidiOx and MidiOx will pass it to the MidiSport Royce
