Hi Trying to save the A Patches to Midi OX from my DW8000. The synth is not capable of doing Sysex Bulk Dumps. Any info appreciated.

The DW8000 has a sysex message for a patch dump. (see page 65 of the manual). So the procedure is select a patch on the DW then send the Request Patch sysex and the sysex with the 55byte preset is sent by the DW. Patch the MidiOx Event port to your midi interface that is connected to your DW input. The DW Midi output also needs to be connected to your interface that can be seen by MidiOx Don't forget you have to match the Channel number in the sysex to the Channel on the DW. View/Sysex in the Command window type the sysex request eg channel 1 F0 42 30 03 10 F7 Select your preset on the DW Command Window/Send/Receive Sysex Midi-Ox asks for a file name that the dump will be stored in. To send the file back to the DW (remember the DW channel has to be the same as in the sysex - I pu t the channel number in the file name) simply File/Send Sysex File There is a shareware editor http://www.deaf-eddie.net/ex8000/ex8000.html All the best Royce
