Roland R8 MKII Sysex Transmit Issue

Hi,

Last night I did a Sysex dump to backup all my patterns from the R8 and initialized the machine (had a weird issue with one of the samples not triggering).

Since I'm on a Mac, I used Sysex Librarian for this, but my attempt to send the sysex backup back to the machine failed. I have done this many times before but not in a long time so I couldn't remember if there was supposed to be some kind of indicator on the R8 that the data was received.

I then setup MIDI-OX on a windows machine, and same thing — nothing happens, the data gets transmitted successfully on the PC side but the R8 doesn't seem to receive it or something. I'm pretty sure I have everything set up right with the R8 and the monitor in MIDI-OX shows the data being sent.

I'm really out of ideas at this point and thought somebody could help.

Thanks

Solved — turned out to be an incorrect device ID in every line. Found and replaced with MIDI-OX and voila!
