Changing Controller Event Names

Does anyone know a way to change the Controller Event Descriptions as seen in the Control Panel Dialog and if/how the order of events shown can be changed. For Example, I would like to change description of CC 112 to Drum Fill and would also like to move it to the top of the list. I'm using Midi-Ox to send CC's to Onsong running on my Ipad. Works great, just looking for a way to eliminate scrolling down the list of events in the Midi-Ox Control Panel. Thanks ...John

Hi I think you are out of luck. The names of the CC messages is "Control Change" except for a few common ones and they are listed in the main program so they are not easily edited. I'm not sure what you mean by " just looking for a way to eliminate scrolling down the list of events in the Midi-Ox Control Pane" The new messages are inserted at the top of the list pushing the other messages down. You can display only CC messages if you want and even filter out all the CC messages except the ones you want to see with Options / Midi Filter... You can also use this to just filter the display, not the data. All the best Royce

Royce, Thanks for the quick reply. I wasn't asking about filtering (display or data). Just to be clear, I'm just talking about the list of CC's shown in the "View\Control Panel" dialog. You can manually select a CC from that listbox and send it (and a value) to a specific channel. The items in that listbox appear in a non-sequential order that I'm sure makes sense to many people. I was looking for a way to change the descripion assigned to individual items within that listbox. Also a way to change the order of those items (in that listbox) to something that better suited my purpose. A few items in that list have descriptions, the majority do not. I know the "Options\Configure Status" dialog provides a way to select and reorder CC's shown in "View\Midi Status". I was hoping that the "View\Control Panel" listbox could be user configured or even loaded from an editable external file. ..John

Hi John I have looked in all the ini files, the different file types that MidiOx writes and the MidiOx program history and I can't find any sign of being able to change these names and positions. Perhaps if Jamie pops by he can let us know if they can be changed. You could always write a script with a new window to do it. All the best Royce
