I have USB MIDI and am trying to use it to send MSC commands to a lighting desk (Jester TLXtra if it matters), and think i know what command i need to send (F0 7F 01 02 01 01 F7). My question is firstly how do i tell MIDI-OX to send a command like this and secondly do i need the spaces between each hex value? I have looked all around the software and cannot figure out how to send the MSC messages so any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

On the Midi Port Routing window (View / Port Routings..) connect MIDI-OX Event Port on the bottom left to the Midi interface output on the right that is connected to the lighting desk by left click dragging. When you change the routing you should always reset the Pass SysEx parameter. The quick way to do that is click the SYX at the bottom right of MidiOx to turn it off then again to turn it on. Go to View / SysEx.. to open a dialog. In the Command Window type F0 7F 01 02 01 01 F7 (Hex numbers as 2 characters with a space in between) In the menu on this new dialog select Command Window / Send Sysex. The sysex should be sent and you should see the F0 7F 01 02 01 01 F7 appear in the Output Monitor window. All the best Royce
