Keyboard detected but keys are not

Hello,
 
     I have been trying to troubleshoot setting up my Novation 61SL MkII keyboard and have run into an issue that I have not been able to find the solution to. My keyboard shows up as a device in Windows Device Manager and i can select it in MIDI-OX. I am able to detect some inputs, such as altering the pitch and some device-specific ones, but when I press any of the actual keys nothing shows up. I have tried updating device drivers and using it in a variety of software to no avail. Is there something I'm missing, or is it broken? Thanks for any help you can provide.
