When i try to update my launchpad mk2 through MIDI-OX (the updater freezes otherwise) i get the error message as follows

'SysEx: No Buffers Available: There is not enough memory available for this task. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again.'

this is strange as the application isnt using anywhere near my full 12gbs of ram barley touching 1% of the total ram being used on my computer, any help would be appreciated!!!!

Hi
this error is usually due to the driver of the Midi device being a 'Single Client' driver and some other application that uses the Midi device has been started first.

MS Win Midi driver was single client, so if your Launchpad uses this driver instead of the one from Novation that could be the problem. (Try getting a driver from Novation and installing it)
You don't say what operating system you are using, but this error was supposedly fixed in Win 10.

Meanwhile try a fresh boot of the computer.
Start only MidiOx and see if you get this error.
If you don't then it is the single client problem.

Install MidiYoke (or loopMidi) and go to Options / Midi devices and select MidiYoke1  In and out
On the MidiOx Port Routing Window connect your Novation Midi input to MidiYoke 1.

MidiYoke is a multi client driver (as is loopMidi) and this will convert the single client to multi client.
In all you Midi applications you should only select MidiYoke 1 as the input from your Novation.

All the best
Royce
