Using and expression Pedal on Midi Controller

Hello Everyone. I have been using a Netkar Impact 61 midi controller for my Hauptwerk Organ set up. I recently bought an expression pedal and tried to plug it into the foot switch jack but it doesn't seem to detect it. The pedal works fine and so does the Foot switch input. I know this because I tested the pedal and the 1/4 inch input. Yet the 1/4 inch input seems to only detect sustain pedals. Is there anyway i can use Midi Ox to change the settings of my midi controller so it can detect my expression pedal?

From their website there are two 61 Impact models.
The GX has no mention of an expression input only a 1/4" socket for a 'foot switch'. Likely to be just a Tip and Sleeve plug (mono - guitar plug).
The GXP on the other had has a 'foot switch' and a 'expression' socket. This is likely to be a Tip Ring and  Sleeve type of 1/4" plug (stereo headphone plug).

Generally you need 3 wires for an expression pedal (many values from 0 to 127) Ground = sleeve, value or wiper = ring and voltage = tip .
So my guess (I couldn't find a manual) is that the 'foot switch' can never have more than two values, 0 and 127, that is off and on.

Hope that helps
Royce
