Populate & save log file with inbound MIDI dat

Greetings,

I have created 25 drum/percussion programs on an Alesis SR18 drum machine. I want to move these programs to Maschine software.  Maschine is running on a Windows 11 pc.  I have the SR18 connected to the pc via MIDISport USB hardware. The MIDI Out port on the SR18 is connected to the MIDI In "A" port on the MIDISport.

Running MIDI-OX, I can see the MIDI note data coming into the input monitor from the SR18 for a selected song.  However, I can't figure out how to SAVE that data to a file in MIDI-OX.  I've tried all three log formats in the Log File panel, but there's no "save" command that I can find, and no other sequence of MIDI-OX commands that I've tried had worked.  The following is written to the log file:

# MIDI-OX Version: 7.0.2.372
# MIDI To Text Format - Opened: Fri 27-Jan-2023 22:54:52
# The first MIDI event received will initiate timestamps
MFile 0 1 120
MTrk
0 TimeSig 4/4 24 8
0 Tempo 500000
TrkEnd
# MIDI-OX: MIDI To Text Format - Closed: Fri 27-Jan-2023 22:55:08

The MIDI-OX input monitor clearly displays the MIDI note data streamed from the SR18, so why isn't it going into the log file?

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi
MidiOx has no sequencer function.
Just grab a copy of Reaper (free trial) or any other DAW and record and playback your patterns.
With Midi Clock, lock the DAW (master) to the SR18(slave) or the SR18(master) to the DAW(slave) so the recording is in sync with the patterns.
Save as a Midi file.

All the best
Royce
