I have Windows 7. I downloaded the version that says:

Desktop Restore: DeskInstU.msi (Win XP, 2000, Vista, Win 7)

...because it says Windows 7!!!

However, upon downloading, nothing changed, and I then noticed it said:

Platform Windows 2000, XP, VISTA

... It also says after downloading "It appears to operate correctly under Windows 98, Windows XP, and Windows Vista". There is NO mention of Windows 7!!! So which is it? It doesn't appear to be working, because when I right click on my desktop no options to save anything show up.
