Title: Windows 11 Support (New Context Menu)

Is there any chance of an update to Desktop Icon Save and Restore to have the context menu available from the new Explorer context menu in Windows 11?

I can not upgrade my machine to Windows 11, so I can't determine what'll work.  The command line version should operate properly as it does not require hosting on the context menu.

The article referenced says:

---------------

“Show more options” loads the Windows 10 context menu as-is for access to low-use Shell verbs and apps still working on porting over. No commands have been removed entirely.

Shift-F10 or the keyboard menu key will also load the Windows 10 context menu.

--------------

Have you tried this? What is the result?

Yes the Show More Options works, but that makes the process less than ideal - right click on desktop, click on Show More Options, click on Desktop Restore and then click on action.

It seems that there is a use of some form of additional configuration file or something to enable the new context menus - couldn't you run up Windows 11 in a VM to look at working on this?

Is it not possible for you to run Windows 11 for development purposes, even if it is in a VM - especially now that Windows 10 is no longer being actively sold by Microsoft. Desktop Icon Save and Restore is a really useful (and nice and simple/small) utility that frankly Microsoft should have included.

Alternatively, have you considered contributing this utility to Microsoft PowerToys https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/

1. Plz prepare USB drive 32/64GB.
2. Download official Windows 11 ISO english (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11)
3. Install Hasleo WinToUSB (https://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/)
4. Use it to create USB drive for Windows 11 (check "Bypass Windows 11 system requirements), (use "MBR for BIOS" partition scheme if you have old PC, "GPT for UEFI" for new PC)
5. Boot from the made USB drive and reinstall Windows 11 as clean install.

OR

Just Upgrade the system using setup on USB drive, it'll bypass all checks.
