I have uninstalled and re-installed latest MIDIOX on my windows XP 32-bit system. Been working perfect for a long time, except now I see problems.

even though I removed the programs/MIDIOX previous folder entirely, some settings were not erased and new settings are not saving

on a fresh install, old port names appeared as soon as I added the device(s) even though all MIDI ports (ie including disconnected USB devices etc etc etc) had been purged from the system and then drivers re installed 1 by 1.

not only do old port names appear when not wanted, but even if saving a profile etc on re opening MIDIOX, all my new port names dissappeared back to windows defaults.

how can I restore proper functioning of custom port names?

its a bug in the current version which has been reported
