Hello wondering if there is anyway of avoiding using the windows installer for the newer version of midi ox?

I am running windows 98 and dont really have any desire to go near the microsoft website for any type of "improvement" updates.

they are struggling bigtime with win 8 and I hear many rumours are resorting to bulley boy tactics to get people off old operating systems.

so many apps now have been destroyed by modernised software code. I really hope midi ox doesnt fall into this trap by getting intertwined with these nasty updates.

please can someone guide me to a version of midi ox that doesnt require this dubious microsoft code.

if this is not possible what is the last version of midi ox that will work on win 98 that DOES NOT require the Microsoft Installer Update?

If you go to the main MidiOx page http://www.midiox.com/ on the left you'll see "Midi Tools" option.

Down the bottom of this page is MidiOx16 you might like to try this.
