Title: Sysex Loop Command
Post by destruktiv on Oct 6th, 2007, 4:12am
Hello,
is there a way to send a sysex-command in loop. I must send two commands to recieve Sysex-Data from my Sp12. First I must send F0 18 01 41 F7 and then the handshake F0 18 01 20 F7 in loop.
I hope you understand me.
Thx

No.  I think you'd have to use scripting to achieve this -- it's rare for gear to require a handshake these days, but I will add it to the wishlist.

I think the SP12 is very old, if it's what IO think it is.
However, check the sysex spec to see if there's a way to get all of the patches with one request. Many synths have this, but older synths didn't because of the big data dump involved, and the timing on the host side.
