Title: Problems with cloned CC mappings in SX Post by adamvert on Feb 9th, 2003, 11:40am Hi I'm trying to fool SX into performing 2 actions for one knob on my PhatBoy. As far as I can tell, it will only do one thing per CC - if I try and make 2 assignments in the Generic Remote window, it will only perform the last action. So my solution is to set up a Map - with cloning - to mimic the CC values on a different CC - eg. values on CC 40 get mapped to CC 60. I can see in the Midi Ox monitor that both are being passed on to the Yoke port that SX reads from. However, now SX only responds to the mapped value, ie. the one on CC60. Very strange. Anyone seen this before? Or got any suggestions? I'm very confused... ??? thanks! Adam |

Title: Re: Problems with cloned CC mappings in SX Post by Jamie OConnell on Feb 9th, 2003, 12:25pm Does SX react to CC40 correctly with no mapping in effect? If so, maybe the events are arriving too close together? Unfortunatey, I don't have a good suggestion to fix that. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure you're not being hosed by Hex/Decimal conversion issues (CC40 Hex is Controller 64 decimal... etc.). |

Title: Re: Problems with cloned CC mappings in SX Post by adamvert on Feb 9th, 2003, 12:48pm Thanks for the rapid response, Jamie (and thanks for MidiOx in general - a real Swiss Army knife, just like it says on the icon) Actually <cough> I just realised that I had a Cubase Transformer set up, which was also mapping CC's, and generally screwing everything up. Whoops. In the end, I decided that it was better to map to a different channel, instead of a different CC, and it all seems to work just fine. Sorry for wasting your time... Adam |
