Title: Trying to Merge/Map two FATAR Studio 49's Post by ScottUSA on Jul 26th, 2003, 10:06pm Hello, I am new to the do-it-yourself MIDI world, so please help if you can! Perhaps this is very simple but to me it is mystifying to me still. I have two Studio 49 controllers which go into a USB MidiMan Ports A and B, respectively. By default the keyboards are always on channel 1 - unfortunately this is NOT assignable or editable on the keyboard side of things. I need to change one of the keyboards to be on a different discrete channel. i.e.: MIDI Man IN-A Channel 1 ===> Channel 1; MIDI Man IN-B Channel 1 ===> Channel 2. Please help, how can I do this? It seems like a common task but I don't know how to do it, so thanks. |

To remap it once it's in the computer you could use MIDI-OX/MIDI Yoke to remap the channels, but it's a bit involved and requires port mapping map assignments. Why are you trying to remap the keyboard channels? I ask because it may be possible to get them remapped in your sequencer. |
