Hi there.

I'm wondering if it is possible to use Midi-ox to merge two separate midi inputs into one. I have a PCR-50 controller keyboard which connects via usb and a Yamaha clavinova PF p-100 which connects to my soundcard with a midi cable. I want to use the P-100 as my main keyboard but still have the PCR-50's knobs and sliders for real time control. I'm using FL Studio which only allows one midi input.

Hi, I'm fairly new to MIDI-OX but I think I know what you want to do. You can use any version but it may be easier to understand if you download the beta release (6.7.0). If you use the beta version, open the MIDI Port Routing window so you can see what you are doing.

Open the MIDI Devices window (Options... MIDI Devices...).

Be sure Automatically attach Inputs to Outputs during selection is checked.

In the lower left pane, MIDI Outputs, select a MIDI Yoke port as an output device--it will be highlighted in blue and will appear in the Port Mapping pane in the upper right.

Click the + to the left of the MIDI Yoke port in the Port Mapping pane so you can see the inputs that are routed to the MIDI YOKE output--you should see MIDI-OX Events routed to the MIDI Yoke port.

In the upper left pane, MIDI Inputs, select your USB MIDI port--the USB MIDI will be highlighted in blue and will appear in the Port Mapping pane under the MIDI Yoke port to indicate that it is now routed to the MIDI Yoke port.

Now select the soundcard MIDI port in the same way--it will also be highlighted in blue and will be listed under the MIDI Yoke port.

Close the MIDI Devices window--both input are now routed to the MIDI Yoke port, which will be shown in the MIDI Port Routing window if you have it.

In FL Studio select the MIDI Yoke port as your MIDI input.

MIDI-OX is collecting the input from your two hardware ports and merging them into a virtual MIDI device, the MIDI Yoke port. FL Studio will take its MIDI Input from the MIDI Yoke port, which is the output of MIDI-OX.
