Title: Mapping one note to another
Post by stuigi on Nov 17th, 2004, 3:38pm
I have a lighting controller that will accept midi notes to trigger chases and patterns, but they are not assignable.  I want to be able map one to another note so the midi output will transmit the mapped note.

For example, If I play note 38 into my sampler (pc software) while it plays note 38, I want the midi out (thru?) to play, say, note 45.

Is this possible?  (Just about anything is possible, but is it relatively easy to accomplish?)

Thanks to all/any way in advance!

Yes - use the Options | Data Mapping... facility.  There's additional information in the Help file.

You know, I was looking at that, but it didn't sink in at first.  At second look (by you telling me that's where I needed to look), it made more sense.  Tried it out; works great!  Thanks Pete!

I'm in a Rush tribute band based out of Tampa and we try to be as fancy as we can in reproducing their stuff, lights included.

Thanks again!
