Title: JV-1080: How to change Banks and Patches?
Post by Marcos_Vampa on Mar 20th, 2005, 7:34pm
Hi, first of all, congratulations! Your software is amazing!  :)

Well, my problem is: I'm trying to change the banks by Midiox, but it's not being a sucessfull experience... :-[
I can't see my mistake, after hours trying. :-/
I have a EXR7, an arranger keyboard, but I don't like it's sound, so I'm using a JV1080 as a tone generator. Everything works well, except that JV1080 allow only 2 Drum Kits in GM Mode. So I built a User Performance that is a clone of the GM patches, to be able to access other Drum Kits (2 in Preset A, 2 in Preset B, 2 in preset C, 2 in User, 2 in GM). Using Sonar it's a very easy task, but EXR7 works in realtime, of course, and sends banks and patches by the NORMAL Mode, (ex: Bank 2 + Patch 0 or 1 results: GM Standard Drum Kit). So, I need to convert NORMAL banks and patches messages to a format JV 1080 understands.

JV 1080 example :
 MSB = 81, LSB = 0 (Bank: Preset A, Patch: 1PopDrumSet].

How can I do it? Anyone have a map like this? ???

Thank you,
