Title: Mapping to/from/between specific Devices Post by plugged on Nov 24th, 2005, 12:08am Is there any way to define what device a map is using as input and output? The mapping window lets you choose which channel to get the input from, but not the device. It seems to just grab it from every device. My problem is this: I have two keyboards, a boring one and a microKONTROL. I have more things I want to do, but when I do something as simple as split channel 1 to channels 1 or 2 on a Yoke then it happens on both devices...I only want it on one. Boring keyboard uses Delta AP MIDI, mK uses mK 1 Port A, so it's not the same device. |

Title: Re: Mapping to/from/between specific Devices Post by Peter L Jones on Nov 24th, 2005, 1:49pm I haven't tried this... Open the MIDI Port Routing window (View->Port Routings). Connect your inputs to your outputs. Each connection has a square box half way along the line. Click it and the Connection Properties are displayed -- including a "Map File" option. Does that do what you're after? |

Title: Re: Mapping to/from/between specific Devices Post by Jamie OConnell on Nov 25th, 2005, 1:02pm As Peter suggested, save your map as a .OXM file and then assign it to an input - output pair in the Routing Window. At the same time, disable it from being used in the Mapping Window (which does global mapping for all connections). |
