Title: 2- and 3-key Input Mappings Post by gregorydarmohray on Aug 30th, 2007, 1:57am I would like to be able to map only when 2 (or 3) specific keys are held at the same time. For instance, if I use 2C# (C# second octave) as the ‘hot key’, I’d like to output a particular note only when *both* the keys 2C# and 2D are played simultaneous. I’d like a different mapping to fire when I play 2C# and 2E. I’d also like to do the same thing when I play the 2C# ‘hot key’ and two additional notes. Is there a way to do this with standard Midi-Ox mapping? Or is this a question for the Scripting Forum section? Thanks |

Title: Re: 2- and 3-key Input Mappings Post by Peter L Jones on Aug 30th, 2007, 1:23pm You'll either need to do some fancy Note to Program Change to Patch Map set up or use a script. There's no such concept of "held" in the mappings. An event arrives. That's it. You can do something with that event or ignore it. You can't remember that it's happened, though. There's a couple of threads around the fancy patch mapping idea if you have a hunt. |
