Title: Commenting out parts of a .txm file Post by gabriels on Jan 30th, 2008, 7:04pm Hi, I Hope I didn't post twice...had a problem in posting in General Midiox questions, so I tried again here.... i'd like to edit a .txm file (commenting out some entire lines and also inserting comments at the end of lines. I think it works to use | (pipe) at the beginning of a line to make midiox ignore the line, though I do get an error message telling me that Midiox has a problem parsing the ASCII map. Though I get the error message, the txm file does load in successfully and the loaded file seems to be what I expect. For comments, it seems I can just put in text at the end of the line, which Midiox ignores, presumably because it has read in the expected number of fields on a line and goes on to the next line. Am I going to have any problems if I do this. I actually have a large number of .txm files I'd like to edit, and don't want to waste the time if this isn't acceptable practice. Thanks, Gabriel |
