Title: toggle on/off
Post by Sterioevo on Sep 27th, 2008, 9:03pm
firstly i would like to acknowledge the efforts behind midi-ox. your time and effort is much appreciatted!

i have been unable to figure out how to toggle on and off using a button on my controller - via defining a controller mapping in midi-ox. i can get it to switch on when i press the button on my controller, and immediately releases when i take my finger off the button. i can also permanently switch on by selecting the Use Input Value 1 check box - but i have been unable figure out how to switch off. am i missing something? is this possible?
thanks...

i don't follow....
maybe i didn't explain myself very well.
e.g. i want to map CC50 (that happens to be a on/off button) to CC76 and retain the toggle on/off control.

It's that word "retain".  You need to use patch mapping or scripting.

Excuse my ignorance but i have done my head in trying to figure this out unsuccesfully by attempting to apply the concept outlined in the thread linked above. any chance of a more direct example of the process involved to setup up patch mapping changwes with a button?
