Title: how note ON/OFF button to work like a Knob button?
Post by jagian on Sep 29th, 2008, 2:35am
Hi:
Im trying to figure out how to press a key (from a keyboard) an transform this message to control a rotatory knob in a VSTi!
I have an Novation remote zero SL and there i can play with the min and max values of the key im using..example: i can configure min 0 / max 10 and steps with value 1 ( or min 1 / max 100, steps 5 or whatever). Then i can use a note from a keyboard to control a knob in a software..just repeating the strokes in the key to "travel" the knob range.

Im constructing a homemade foot MIDI controller using an old CASIO keyboard, to control things like GTR 3, guitar rig , etc :))

AND... this software is a really beauty (im just beginning to learn and achieve amazing things). Cheers!!

Maybe if i explain in a simpler way someone could answer me! ;D

I need to use a momentary button (on/off) like a knob button. All i need is to know if i can setting a MIN and MAX value (i know how i do it this in fact)...AND!!!  settings the STEPS to get from min to max values. The key is to set the STEPS..i didnt find a way to do this in MIDIOX.

Any hints will be apreciated!

MIDI OX has no memory.

If you want something with a memory, you have to use scripting.

Something like this, I wouldn't recommend trying patch maps, it's too complicated.
