Title: How to map MIDISPORT 4x4 input #1 to CHan 2? Post by stuka on May 30th, 2009, 2:30am Hullo all, I am running two keyboards that both transmit on Channel 1 only into a USB MIDISport 4x4 (into inputs 1 & 2), and I want MidiOx to change one of the keyboards (the one in Input 2 of the 4x4) from MIDI Channel 1 to Channel 2 so that NIB4 will play that keyboard on the lower manual. Can someone point me to, or explain, the procedure to re-map that second keyboard from Chan 1 to Chan 2? Thanks |

Post by stuka on May 30th, 2009, 5:16am But wait -- now I just tried to add a third kb (again, also which only transmits on CH1), and couldn't figure out how to get MIDIOX to alter one kb's output to CH1, and this new one onto CH3 (which corresponds to the bass pedals on the NIB4 program). Can MIDIOx only handle one data mapping change at any given time ( I wouldn't have thought so), or did I miss something (much more likely, it would seem to me....)? |

If you do "View->Port Routings", you'll get the "MIDI Port Routing" window up. The little boxes on the lines are hot spots - you can right click them to get a context menu for that connection. If you do "Properties", you'll see an option to attach a "Map file". (So you need to have saved the mapping to a file before you can attach it to a connection.) |
