Title: Can more Data Maps be used at the same time? Post by mokusmisi on Jun 24th, 2009, 12:17pm I have 8 different VST plugins (organs and synthesisers) on my notebook. I have succeeded to create from one input port a port mapping structure where each of the incoming midi channels of the input port is mapped to a different MIDIYOKE port. Because sometimes 4-5 VST instruments need work simultaneously at a time I need to have for each them a corresponding Data Map. I have prepared for most of the different VST instruments a corresponding data map. Each of these data maps are saved separately and they are visible among the Port Map Objects. I can drag and drop them to the appropriate part of the Port Mapping window, but I cannot manage to make them active. I can only do data mapping if I open the Data Map window, load the map and turn it to be active. But this case that (only one) data map is active for all the output ports. I suspect that I am missing something, because if there is a possibility by doing "drag and drop actions" to join different Data Maps to different output ports, there shall be a way to make them work. Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance! http://www.artons.hu/images/stories/midi_ox.jpg |

Title: Re: Can more Data Maps be used at the same time? Post by Jamie OConnell on Aug 2nd, 2009, 10:54am The MIDI Devices method of routing is kind of obsolete. Much better, more stable and reliable is to use the Routing Window: View | Port Routings.... Each input->output connection can have a custom map assigned. |

Title: Re: Can more Data Maps be used at the same time? Post by mokusmisi on Aug 4th, 2009, 6:33am Thank you very much for your answer! Unfortunately I could not find in the 'view' menu the "port routing" tab there was only the "port status" tab. No I recognized that I used the earlier version of MIDIOX. I have just downloaded the latest version and found the "port routing" tab. So thanks again... |
