The lack of full MIDI functionality on the Korg Kaossilator Pro means that it cannot be played directly using a MIDI keyboard and the MIDI performance data cannot be easily edited and played back using a DAW.

I have produced MIDI keyboard interface and a DAW interface for Windows written in Visual Basic 6 using the MIDI OX API that get round these problems.

Both applications are freeware and available from my website.
