Title: Specific note transformed to aftertouch Post by muzicman0 on Feb 8th, 2011, 11:34am Hi all...I did some basic searching, and didn't find this, but apologies if it has been covered before... Not sure if this is possible. I need to transform a specific MIDI note on event to aftertouch for a different note. Here's why: I have an electronic drum kit. The standard for cymbal chokes is aftertouch...but my module (Alesis DM10) sends a completely different note over MIDI for the choke. So, I am hoping to capture the note on event, and transform it to aftertouch for the cymbal note on event...does that make sense? The cymabal note is MIDI note 49. The choke note is MIDI note 34. So I need to transform MIDI note 34 into aftertouch for MIDI note 49. Is this possible with MIDI Ox? if so, where would I start? Thanks, mm0 |

Title: Re: Specific note transformed to aftertouch Post by muzicman0 on Feb 8th, 2011, 3:03pm does it add any discernable latency? I will be using it in real time. Thanks for the response! |

Title: Re: Specific note transformed to aftertouch Post by muzicman0 on Feb 9th, 2011, 1:28pm thanks...I tried it last night, and it appears to work, but I still am not getting the results that I want on the cymbal choke. But MIDI Ox is working as I hoped...so I will keep looking for a solution...I think I am real close! mm0 |
