hi, I do not know exactly how to explain this but i'll try:

well, at the moment i'm able to send a predefined note (say... E) when pressing and holding my sustain pedal; and then get that note again when releasing the pedal.

my problem is: I don't want that E note sent EVERYTIME the sustain pedal is released. Instead I would like to have that note ONLY IF another note (say.. A) was played just prior to the release.

This probably implies that I would have to give the mapper some time instructions... e.g.: if "A" note is played and in the next 100 milliseconds the pedal is released, then play note E. If the pedal is released after that time span then it will produce no note at all.

someone out there know if that can be done? If any mapper is capable of managing such feature?

it would be very cool for what I'm trying to do...

Data maps only respond to data: you can't test ("if ...") other conditions ("x happened before y"). You'd need to look at scripting.

now since we're on the argument could you point me somewhere for an introduction in scripting?

I drum - I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm a drummer ;D.

I've not used the scripting facilities - there's a section of the forum for help, though, and it does get used. There might be something in the manual, too.
