Title: Split input to Multiple Ports? Post by wilcofan on Mar 21st, 2014, 9:17pm I have a case where I'm splitting two notes, one to MidiYoke 8 and another to MidiYoke 6. Doesn't seem to be a mapping choice for port in the logic. Only channel. As a workaround I'm opening multiple instances of MIDI-OX. One for each port. Is this the only way? (I'd prefer to keep it all in one window) |

Title: Re: Split input to Multiple Ports? Post by Breath on Mar 21st, 2014, 10:11pm Single stream into two streams out. In->Data Filter1->Yoke 6 In->Data Filter2->Yoke 8 In the Midi Port Routing window. Options/Data Mapping... Create the 2 data filter files (*.oxm) that split the notes. Save each of the files. Click on the little square on the linking line from In to Yoke 6 in the Midi Port Routing window. On the dialog that pops up assign one of map files that you just created. Do the same for the line that links In to Yoke8. Make sure that you haven't turned on the data mapping in the Options/Data Mapping window otherwise any connection that hasn't been assigned a map file (as above) will be mapped using the one currently in the Data Mapping dialog. All the best Royce |

Title: Re: Split input to Multiple Ports? Post by wilcofan on Mar 22nd, 2014, 10:04am Yup, it's working good. (in single window) Some feedback from a newbie. It's hard to grasp whether that MIDI-OX events icon is supposed to be connected to the outputs. (when all you are doing is simple transform of input to output) The manual shows a BIG rectangle between the input and output. It just hit me after days of using it, and help here, that the LITTLE square between the input and output is where the transformer sits. I think if the square were much bigger at default it would make more sense visually. Definitely to a newcomer. Awesome program! |
