Title: Routing 16 midi channels out
Post by rpc9943 on May 25th, 2017, 4:03pm
Hi everyone. All I want to do is take my midi channels from the input, route them out to my external hardware, and convert each channel to 1. I saw a post about this, where we just translate the incoming channel into channel 1, before going out.

Like this

Example:
Sequencer ---- Ch 2 ----> Turns into ch 1 ---> Synth 1
Sequencer ---  ch 3 ----> Turns into ch 1 ---> synth 2

I have it all working except the mapping is NOT changing to channel 1. I am unsure what I'm doing wrong.

I tried testing setting for example synth 3 to accepting midi ch 3 and it works, but once i add a map, it just doesn't receive anything.

I set each connection to use individual mappings i have saved, just like described in another post on this forum. It looks like I have all of the settings exactly to what I want, but still - nothing.

Any help? My daw can route out just fine but it keeps having random stability errors so I prefer to use midiox...

Thanks!

Assigning connection properties and custom .oxm maps in MIDI Port Routing:
