Title: WinXP and DB50XG/XG Gold/Cakewalk sonar
Post by Thorley on Aug 4th, 2003, 7:31am
Hi All
I have upgraded to XP and had a nightmare!!  Repaced Hubis with Midi Yoke but still not working.

I want to select sounds from XG Gold, use Sonar as my sequencer and trigger from a external keyboard.  All I can get is piano sounds triggered no mater what I do.  Has anyone any help on what the best midi config should be.  Thanks a million. ;)

Also, I have SB16 card with DB50XG.  I assume this works by default as its on the daughter board.  Right?

I have similar problem:

I want to use XG Gold, together with Sonar 3, running WIN XP Pro.

But no success to date!

I can, of course (using Hubis), run XG Gold & Sonar 2, under 98SE, but then I lose the benefits of Sonar 3 and WIN XP.

Any ideas anyone?  I am already using a multi-boot system.

Thanks.

And I have a similar setup.

Bome software keyboard - to trigger midi
Music Creator Pro
XG-Gold
Santa Cruz Turtle Beach with an XG-50
Windows/2000 Professional

I have MidiYoke and Midiox installed.

I would like to be able to tie all this together to do the following:

Select a channel on the Bome software keyboard and have it recorded in Music Creator Pro

Have XG-Gold provide the voices

Pipe this all to the Santa Cruz sound card with the XG-50

When it comes time to record audio, have the XG-50 out come back to an audio track in Music Creator Pro.

All I get is confused.

OMG. :o.
I have a problem similar to that.
I have sw1000, xgpad and i am using logic 5.5.
I wish some kind person would do a detailed pictorial of all the settings  step by step. including midi yoke, and all of the above. It would be so helpful. I have searched and searched on the net for a clue but with no luck.

PLEASE SOMEONE >>>>step by step  PICTORIAL of all the settings to get this all working together much needed. ;)
