Title: Connecting Finale Post by MJL54 on Oct 11th, 2004, 12:59am Hi, this is my first posting. I installed Midi-ox with the intention of routing my Finale 2005 to Cakewalk Sonar 3, so I can use a DXi to play my output. I'm no genius, but I can see Midi-Ox now as an option in Cakewalk in the pull-down menu. It just installed itself there. But I can't figure out how to get the Finale output to connect with Cakewalk, unless it involves the Windows Mixer, which means routing my Audigy output back through to my input? I also use Steinberg Cubase, and I have Kontakt, Fruity Loops and SoundForge. I'm wondering what would be my best bet. I don't use a keyboard at present; I'm doing arrangements straight into Finale and I just want to output thru a Dxi, such as Edirol, which plugs into Sonar. Thanks. MJL54 ::) |

Title: Re: Connecting Finale Post by Jamie OConnell on Oct 11th, 2004, 12:19pm I believe you are confusing MIDI-OX (a diagnostic application) with MIDI Yoke (a driver that connects applications together). You likely want to install and use MIDI Yoke, although MIDI-OX will help you verify that it's working. |
