Title: My Korg KARMA thanks MIDI-OX... Post by Techno-iD on Dec 7th, 2001, 7:20am Hi ! i want to thank MIDI-OX who solves a problem with my Korg Karma.Ok, let me explain, this could help others, may be ? Karma has programs and combis with a predefined midi tempo - for differents effects- and the problem is I wanted to use Karma as masterkeyboard, sending synchro midi to others machines via midi out, through, and so long...But, when i started a song, let's say with a combi in which the tempo is predefined to 120 , and some moment after i wanted to change my combi for an other one with a 135 tempo, guess what happened, hmmm ? logically all my synchronized gear was changing from 120 to 135 . No way to change that in Karma ( a perfect machine BUT...), only driving my Karma with an other drum machine or sequencer, and for different reasons that was not possible. Other solution: to send Sys ex, but, a little bit complicate ( for others reasons) ...gasp, I was in a deep dilemna, till I though using MIDI-OX...That's it ! No more problem. i choose my initial tempo in MIDI OX and , with my Karma sync to external clock, everything goes perfect. i can change to any combi and prog without : changing my initial tempo, or starting every machine linked to the karma ( that was the problem using an external sequencer as master) Thanks to MIDI OX ! ;) :o |

Post by Techno-iD on Dec 9th, 2001, 7:14am Yes, I use a Dell Latitude LabTop, with MIDI-OX, USB-MIDI to Karma IN, Karma Thru to Electribe-A-->i40M--->Prophecy-->ElecTribe-R . Everything goes perfect ! I wish I have a VISA Card to send some $ for this great software ...I'm in Thailand and WireTransfer cost 40 $ (!) ... When I am a Star... ::) |
