Title: Yamaha PSR-260 No MIDI Output Using Joystick con Post by CyberDad on Feb 5th, 2004, 11:59pm :-[ I have spent several hours trying to configure my Yamaha PSR-260 to work with my sequencer (Cakewalk Music Creator 2003). I have verified the connections are correct and hear notes played using the virutal keyboard or computer keyboard on the PSR-260. I am not getting any MIDI output from the keyboard and therefore cannot capture the music with my sequencer. My computer recognizes my Yamaha PSR-260 as an MPU-401 Compatible MIDI device and this shows up in Cakewalk as well as MIDI-OX. Can anyone give me some useful advice (short of radical brain surgery :o ) Thanks. |

Title: Re: Yamaha PSR-260 No MIDI Output Using Joystick c Post by ZNOP on Sep 14th, 2004, 11:15pm Well, what do you know. I am having the same problem with "Cakewalk", "Fruity Loops 3", and even the old Windows 3.1 based "Midisoft" I am begenning to wonder if it is the built in game port. I also have a Casio cz-101 that worked like a charm -- but on a different system however it died. So, I bought a Yamaha PSR-260. Why the midi ports if it they don't work? There has to be somthing with the built in sound card. Tell me what you think. ZNOP! P.S. But, then again I wasn't running Windows 2000 when it did work... I was running Windows ME! I must try that tonight. Good luck tell me if you get it to work. Hey Good News I got Cakewalk to work with Windows 98. I realize this post is old but I hope it reaches you. |
