Bottom line: my MIDI keyboard and inputs work with Win 7 but suddenly stopped working with Win 8.1 (they worked up until last week). MIDI-OX installed on my Win 7 machine works perfectly but does not detect my MIDI input on my Win 8.1 machine. Device Manager says it is installed and working perfectly but MIDI-OX says differently. Any suggestions?

Sadly the update to 8.1 caused a lot of pain for Midi users.
It was one of many reasons I didn't do it.

Some have had success by trying to install the USB Midi driver in Win7 compatibility mode.
