Title: Cubase SX+GStudio+Yoke
Post by 1010 on Mar 29th, 2003, 11:36am
I have a problem w/this setup. Cubase uses Yoke 1 out, GS uses Yoke 1 in. I usually get midi feedback, and GS does not receive any data from that port. Does anyone has a similar working setup? I'd really appreciate any tips/help.
peace
Benjamin

Sounds like either Cubase is reading Yoke 1 or GS is writing to Yoke 1.  Double check this first.

Hi 1010,

Don't you have a gsif compatible soundcard ?!
Look at the settings tab in Gigastudio.
If you see gsif ''yes'' you should start Cubase from within Gigastudio. You can assign Cubase also in the Settings tab.
Then just click the sequencer icon at the top of GigaStudio's
menu strip.

In cubase select a midi track and e.g. nemesys outport 1.
That 's it.

If your soundcard doesn't support gsif make sure you have disabled all Midi Inport s of Midi Yoke in Cubase.
That should solve the feedback problems.
But that doesn't solve the latency issue.
You could delay the midi tracks in Cubase by -222 ms like I do
in Logic . Start your song at bar 2 instead of 1 and everything
should be allright

Hope that helps

;)
