I've created sequences with my controller and played vst instruments with my controller so I know the midi connection is ok. I have a soundblaster live

However, in MIDI-OX options->midi devices, I'm unable to configure an input device. There's only one choice (1)SB Live MIDI UART)

I keep getting a "This function is not supported. Use the Capabilities function to determine which functions and messages the driver supports" message.

I'm stuck. Thanks in advance, this program will be great for my use (want to use sustain pedal to trigger a leslie sim that normally uses a mod wheel)

I've been horsing around for a couple hours and I can't figure this out. I want to map the damper pedal on/off to the mod wheel min and max (0 and 127) to switch leslie speed for an organ sound.

The data1 and data2 are 01 and 7F for on, and 01 and 00 for off. I inserted 2 translation maps that look like this

* ctrl 64 64 0 0 * ctrl 1 1 0 0
* ctrl 64 64 127 127 * ctrl 1 1 127 127

In the monitor output, the even is changed to CC: Modulation but the data1 and data2s are 01 7f and 01 00

When I close midiox, the damper pedal isn't taking the place of the mod wheel.

I would recommend using a single entry for the mapping:
* ctrl 64 64 * * * ctrl 1 1 * *

With 2 entries (and no clone), the event is consumed at the first mapping step, and the 2nd mapping step would never be performed.

MIDI-OX can only map data When it is running. It can be minimised into the tray, if you want to keep it out of the way.

I did what you said
* ctrl 64 64 * * * ctrl 1 1 * *

and i get the same result
on
input
data1 40 data2 7F cc: pedal (sustain)
output
data1 01 data2 7F cc: modulation

off
input
data1 40 data2 0 cc: pedal (sustain)
output
data1 01 data2 0 cc: modulation

That doesn't do anything in the b4 application though. I have gotten other test mappings to work in the b4 so midiox is communicating with it.

do I need to check any of those boxes below where you set up these values (currently none are checked

I have NI B4. I set up the mapping we are discussing in MIDI-OX: "* ctrl 64 64 * * * ctrl 1 1 * *" and turned it ON.

When I press the sustain Pedal on my keyboard, the "Rotator" on the B4 goes from Slow to Fast, and I can hear the Leslie gradually pick up speed. When I lift the pedal, the Rotator goes back to Slow. This indicates that the B4 "sees" the mapping.

Make sure you are transmitting on one of the 3 channels the B4 is receiving, or force the mapping to one of the B4 channels.
