Title: Wait for 6.5??? Post by gabriel on Aug 6th, 2002, 4:26pm Jamie, I'm using version 6.4.2 (pretty sure of the rev) very happily, but am holding off doing a pretty substantial remapping of program change #s because I'm probably going to do per port mapping. Is there any additional overhead to doing the mapping the way I'm doing it now (using multiple instances of MidiOx... one to break out the separate ports, and the others to do the program change remapping on each port)? On the other hand, for my relatively simple requirements: midi card into MidiOx duplicate output on channel 1 to channels 3,5, and 7 duplicate output on channel 2 to channels 4,6, and 8 remap program changes that happen on channel 1 to different program numbers on channel 3, different numbers on channel 5,different numbers on channel 7. Same for channels 2 ,4,6,8. Conceivably, I'll send ch 1,3,5 and7 out to Nemesys port 1 and ch 2,4,6,and 8 out to Nemesys port 2. Not too complex!!! So would you say that Beta 7 will be stable enough for me to use, given that I'm not using many of the newer features? Gabriel |

Title: Re: Wait for 6.5??? Post by Jamie OConnell on Aug 7th, 2002, 8:45am Beta 7 is fairly stable. There are a couple of small fixes yet to come, but the product release is mainly held up because we haven't had time to update the documentation. [Much Later...] 6.5 is released |
