Title: Downloading M1 factory sounds?? Post by lynnk on Jun 24th, 2004, 7:55am Hi there, Am a complete novice!! Help!!! Have just replaced my Korg M1 battery and I want to download the factory sounds back into it. I don't have any soundcard or even a manual as I got the Korg secondhand. I've no clue how to do it. Yesterday I bought a Tascam US122 which connects via USB to the computer. I've hooked up the Tascam to the keyboard using MIDI cables (in to out and vice versa), but what do I do next? I've found sites and zip files which say they have the factory sounds on them, but I don't know how to transfer them. I got Cubasis and Gigastudio with the Tascam... I'll appreciate all help given! Thanks, Lynn |

Options | MIDI Devices... Select US-122 MIDI In for Input US-122 MIDI Out for Output. View | SysEx... then Command Window | Load File... Choose the .SYX file. Command Window | Send SysEx |

Title: Re: Downloading M1 factory sounds?? Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 25th, 2004, 9:37am I'm not sure why you couldn't download MIDI-OX (what happened?), but I'm glad you're back in business. |
