Title: Startup 2 instances of MIDI-OX, w2k Post by james_of_tucson on Jan 18th, 2005, 1:56am Hi. I routinely start two instances of midi-ox, one to take inputs to yokes, and another to send yokes to instruments. Works great, but if I put 2 shortcuts in my startup folder they both get the same config, which does not work of course. So I have to start two instances manually. I think if there was a command line to specify a config, or something like this, it could work. I don't actually understand why it works when I do it by hand. Seems like there was a midi-ox running as a service, or something mysterious like that under XP, can't remember. Thanks! |

Title: Re: Startup 2 instances of MIDI-OX, w2k Post by Jamie OConnell on Jan 19th, 2005, 7:50pm You can launch MIDI-OX with a custom profile. From the help file: "Profiles allow you to set up MIDI-OX the way you want and save all the settings to be loaded again at a later time. MIDI-OX already will re-load the last settings, but profiles allow you to store several setups and quickly change between them. Initialization Profiles can be specified on a command line, or added to the command that is launched via an icon. The general form for a command line profile is: Midiox.exe D:\yourpath\profile.ini " |
