Title: noob question about yoke/ox Post by ionized on May 4th, 2005, 2:15am Hi, I'm a complete noob to midi yoke and ox. I've had a small ammount of midi experience in connecting in out thru to cubase and hardware synths. I've just bought a waldorf micro Q and am using mQedit as a synth editor for patches. What I want to do is run this in conjunction with Cubase SX so that I can edit the patches while I have sequences playing the notes on the micro Q. The rest of my setup consists of a USB midi controller with a single midi out that is running to the midi in on the Micro Q. So I guess my questions are: Do I need Midi Yoke, or Midi Ox to accomplish this? Can either of these do this? And any thoughts on how to set this up? Midi Controller ---> Sequencer ---> Synth Editor ---> MicroQ or Midi Controller ----> Sequencer ----> MicroQ | ^ | | ----------> Synth Editor-------- for example? Cheers, Thanks for any help |

I didn't answer before because I didn't really understand what you were trying to do, sorry. |
