Title: MIDI OX and Korg M1 Post by ssb on Aug 29th, 2005, 12:22pm Hello folks, I'm really new in this Forum. I found you in Internet, while I was looking for suggestions using my new/old M1 Synth with a W2000 PC. I have a question (even more than one): I bought a second-hand M1 KORG (I usually play a VA-76 ROLAND), I installed MidiOX Sw on my W2000 PC and I just bought a new-generation USB MIDI interface. If I play whatever MIDI-song with a Karaoke/MIDI SW on my Roland Keyboard, I really haven't any problems (so the MIDI interface is working properly with some "new" MIDI softwares and Windows 2000. Well, I connected to my PC my M1 KORG to load/unload patches (programs and combis", but since then I started to have a lot of problems managing sysex MIDI command to/from the two devices. It's really something random to make the PC SW work properly with my M1 Korg through the USB MIDI Interface. I verified all the configurations, MIDI Interface, MIDIOX SW ports, M1 enablings... and whatever, but sometimes the connection is OK, and the most of the times I have to restart MIDIOX, the PC, turn off/on the M1.... Would anyone of you experimented this "unstability" of the SW? And also, would it be possible to have a SW that could manage the M1 banks (both programs and combis) in a "user friendly" way? Another stuff. Does it exist somwhere a SW that could manage the "sysex" msgs, in order to load a setup of the M1 Korg (I mean, position directly the M1 on the Program #17, and on the Combi #29?). Thank you in advance for your attention. Silvio, from Italy. |
