Title: Using SoundFonts with MIDI-Ox Post by Charles_Mackay on Sep 7th, 2005, 5:28pm Is there a way I can play a MIDI instrument live using a SoundFont within MIDI-Ox? How would I set it up to do this? |

You really need a proper Soundfont player (like rgc:audio (http://www.rgcaudio.com)'s sfz) and ASIO drivers. Using a "built in" player is like this: [MIDI In port] -> [MIDI OX] -> [MIDI Out port] where "[MIDI Out port]" is the "GM/GS Synth" or whatever. Using a player like sfz doesn't need MIDI OX, as you just open your MIDI In port in the player. |
