Title: Noob ?'s about sys exclusive and performances
Post by quartet46 on Sep 19th, 2005, 8:53am
I have a modest set up consisting K1 (Master), DX100 and midiverb4. The remainder of things are on the PC within tracktion with several vst's. I have mastered getting sys exclusive sound to and from my keyboards with midi ox (But that is touching the surface).

However, how do I save various performance system setups so I can reload previous set ups i have been working on. ?

Can I also set up patch lists/banks??

look forward to some help.

One approach you can take is to use the MIDI-OX MIDI Status window to setup all relevant controllers (including bank and patch changes) for each channel.  Clicking in any cell brings up a data slider that can set values.  You can save the contents of the MIDI Status Window to a Snapshot file(hint: right click).  The snapshot can be later loaded and sent to a device.

You may be able to find Instrument definition files for your hardware at Cakewalk http://www.cakewalk.com. The .INS files can be loaded into MIDI-OX and viewd as Bank and Patch lists: View | Instrument Panel...
