Post by Amalzz on Feb 21st, 2013, 2:16am

could be any number of reasons, most likely the bulk dump is corrupt.  POssible causes.  Incorrect buffer settings in midiox and or the midi usb interface. If you got one of these CHinese units like this one
http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/300856510623?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla&crdt=0
with the Treble cleff printed on them its the most likely culprit, they simple do not cope with sysex dumps at all

Thanks a lot for the reply.

You are correct. I am using above cable. But the thing is Bulk Dump Completed successfully and both Midi-ox  both monitor input & output monitoring transmit and receive activities well. Although it show send sysex in the moniter it culdnt be received to the spd-20..

What is the Correct buffer settings

If this is a cable fault please tell me another cable or Midi Sound Card..

Thanks in AdVaNcE...

the sysex dump will complete successfuly but the data received by the pc will be incomplete and or corrupt.  I got one of those midi interfaces and that is what happens.

For a better interface look at roland or esi,  I know both work fine I have a 4 posrt ESI unit that works flawlessly and another guy in the band has a Roland unit that workks fine too.
